Use our deep experience to address your evolving challenges.

Few organizations have as much expertise in quality and patient safety as Qlarant. We’ve been a federally-designated Quality Improvement Organization (QIO) or QIO-like entity since 1973. We’re on the forefront of bringing health care and science experts together to address and resolve complex issues of care.

Qlarant teams work with providers across the continuum of care to create sustainable and cost-effective programs, improved care delivery processes and learning opportunities — all for better care and lower costs.

The Partnership for Patients:  Qlarant initiatives align with major quality improvement programs, such as the Partnership for Patients — one of the nation’s largest hospital patient safety programs. The goal:  to reduce hospital-acquired conditions by 40%, and reduce avoidable hospital readmissions by 20%.

The National Content Developer (NCD) is the organizing network contractor of the Partnership for Patients. Qlarant supports the NCD (IMPAQ, Int., LLC-prime contractor) by leading numerous National Affinity Groups, addressing:

  • Readmissions
  • Adverse Drug Events (ADEs)
  • Health Equity
  • Safety Across the Board (All Cause Harm and Culture)
  • Sepsis
  • C. difficile and Antimicrobial Stewardship

Our teams provide a platform for leaders to address challenges, innovations and best practices in patient safety.

The District of Columbia Quality Improvement Organization (DC QIO)
