Ulman House is a free-of-charge residential program for adolescent and young adult (AYA) cancer patients and their caregivers. The program reduces the financial burden of patients during their cancer treatment and allows them greater access to quality care at the Johns Hopkins Hospital, the University of Maryland Medical Center and the Maryland Proton Treatment Center.
Ulman’s Patient Navigation program is also available to Ulman House residents. It specializes in the needs of the AYA patients and their special circumstances. These include fertility preservation, coping with a life interrupted in its prime and the additional age-group appropriate resources needed to support their cancer journey.
