Breast Care for Washington, DC is committed to reducing breast cancer mortality by promoting access to breast cancer screening, diagnostics and treatment to all women regardless of their ability to pay and facilitates access to lifesaving breast cancer screening services in the medically underserved population by removing barriers to these services. With Qlarant Foundationā€™s support, the organization successfully launched their Mobile Mammography Program, expanding access to critical lifesaving mammography screening to significantly more women across the District of Columbia and Maryland.

The organizationā€™s work includes patient navigation and care coordination from the initiation of screening through any follow up treatment needed. In addition, the fixed site continues to bring high quality screening and diagnostic services to a vulnerable population that has limited access to medical services. By ensuring that as many women as possible are able to access mammography screenings, Breast Care for Washington, DC seeks to detect cancers in the earliest stages possible, when it is highly treatable resulting in the best health outcomes possible.

Qlarant Foundation continues to provide funding for ā€œIncreasing Access to High Quality Breast Imaging for Medically Underserved Womenā€ at both its fixed and mobile locations.
