Dr. Michael Fisher received his B.S. in Biochemistry (1978) and his M.D. (1983) from the University of Maryland. He has been a member of the medical community of the Maryland’s Eastern Shore since 1989 as a gastroenterologist/internist in private practice and Attending Physician at Memorial Hospital at Easton, now University of Maryland/Shore Regional Health. He retired in 2018.

Dr. Fisher is a Past President of the Talbot County Medical Society and the Maryland Medical Society. He is currently a member of the Shore Regional Health Strategic Planning Committee and the Shore Regional Health COVID-19 Incident Command. Dr. Fisher is also on the Talbot Hospice Board and a member of the Talbot County Public Schools Education Foundation.

He and his wife of 36 years, Karen, raised two children in Talbot County Maryland, home to Qlarant’s Easton Headquarters. In their free time they enjoy travel, reading, cooking, sports, biking, pickle ball, boating, fishing, hunting and a large circle of friends.
