Marion Olivier, MSW

Ms. Olivier’s 25 years of experience includes serving behavioral health, aging and disabled and intellectual/developmental disabilities population.  Over 22 of these years include experience in monitoring and ensuring compliance of the application of Medicaid and state standards in both institutional and community based settings. This oversight includes supporting states with compliance with Department of Justice Settlement Agreements and performing quality assurance reviews for providers of Home and Community Based Services (HSBS) to persons with intellectual/developmental disabilities. She also has conducted a root cause analysis and ongoing monitoring of the quality of supports and services for Intermediate Care Facilities.

For over 16 years, Ms. Olivier has been responsible for the development and implementation of quality management systems, review tools, processes and procedures to promote quality improvement of service delivery systems for persons with intellectual/developmental Disabilities.  Ms. Olivier works with her project teams to conduct interviews with providers and  individuals served, observations of services provided and a thorough review and analysis of the provider’s documentation to identify areas needing improvement; and provide technical assistance and recommendations to assist providers in improving their quality of supports and services.

Routinely, Ms. Olivier conducts training sessions and makes presentations at state and local levels. Her expertise and knowledge has been shared at national conferences such as the National HCBS Conference and at the National Reinventing Quality Conference.

Ms. Olivier earned her MSW, Social Work-Clinical Track from Florida State University in 1993 and a BA in Sociology from the University of Louisiana in 1990.
