The following is a recent interview with Ms. Posko:
How did you become a Board Member?
I became a board member after connecting with Amanda Neal, whose passion for community social impact immediately resonated with me. Through our conversations, I gained a deep appreciation for the Foundation’s mission and the meaningful work it supports. With my background in nonprofit leadership and corporate social responsibility, I saw a clear alignment between my experience and the Foundation’s goals. As our discussions evolved, I became increasingly inspired by the Board’s vision for expanding the Foundation’s work. When Amanda invited me to get more directly involved, I was thrilled to have the opportunity to contribute and truly honored to join Qlarant.
What attracted you to joining the Board?
I was drawn to the Qlarant Foundation Board because its mission aligns closely with the work I’ve devoted my career to –strengthening communities, driving meaningful impact, and bringing partners together to advance change. Throughout my career, I’ve seen what’s possible when community-based organizations have partners who truly value their expertise and innovation, and my conversations with Amanda made clear that this is central to Qlarant’s goals.
Qlarant’s blend of strategic grantmaking and strong employee engagement resonates deeply with my values. I’m inspired by the Foundation’s role at the intersection of community impact, healthcare, and systems-level change, and I saw an opportunity to contribute my experience while learning from dedicated peers equally committed to making a difference.
What do you see as the most important work that we do?
I believe one of the Qlarant Foundation’s most significant contributions is empowering community-based organizations to create lasting, meaningful change. By providing financial, social, and human capital, the Foundation helps high-impact nonprofits thrive. Beyond grantmaking, Qlarant’s focus on strengthening organizational capacity and enhancing program effectiveness is key to promoting sustainable, long-term impact in communities. In this way, the Foundation plays a vital role in improving health and quality of life where its employees live, work, and play.
How do you think you contribute to our mission of Creating Solutions to Transform Health?
I believe I can contribute to Qlarant’s mission of Creating Solutions to Transform Health by bringing a deep passion for community impact and extensive experience in strategic philanthropy, systems-level thinking, and corporate employee engagement. My career evaluating and supporting diverse social impact programs has given me a clear sense of what effective community-based solutions look like and how companies can leverage their financial resources and their people to strengthen them. I also bring a governance mindset grounded in accountability, learning, and collaboration, and I’m comfortable asking strategic questions to solve problems creatively and identify new opportunities for impact. My work with nonprofits, state agencies, and community coalitions gives me insight into both systemic challenges and the innovative solutions emerging to address them. I hope these experiences, paired with my strong belief in community-driven change, will meaningfully support Qlarant’s mission to advance measurable improvements in health for those who need it most.
Coming from a Fortune 100 environment, what encouragement would you give Qlarant Associates about engaging in Corporate Social Responsibility via the Foundation?
The commitment of Qlarant’s associates to quality, integrity, and improving health outcomes is the driving force behind the Foundation’s mission. Even as I continue learning about the full breadth of our work, it’s clear that the associates are one of the Foundation’s most valuable assets. Their skills, passions, and community connections are powerful human capital –the kind that strengthens nonprofits, elevates local solutions, and expands our impact far beyond grant funding. I encourage them to involve themselves in the Foundation and its Corporate Social Responsibility efforts because Qlarant has integrated this powerful influence engine into how the company separates itself in the marketplace, and creates long-term value. Their insights will help us understand local needs and identify new opportunities to support meaningful work. As a board member, I am committed to championing their contributions, listening to their perspectives, and finding ways to support the CSR work that they do that makes a difference in their communities.
