Christopher E. Broomfield

Mr. Broomfield is a former U.S. Government Intelligence Officer with over 20 years of experience in government and private sector intelligence. Currently, he is employed by the University of Michigan within the Department of Safety and Security and working to build out their protective intelligence/strategic intelligence office.  In addition, he serves on the University’s insider threat committee.  Previous positions include Senior Intelligence Manager at Carnival Corporation & plc.’s Global Maritime Security Operations and Royal Caribbean Group’s Global Intelligence. His other experiences include Booz Allen Hamilton, PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC), and the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA). Mr. Broomfield has used his skills to strengthen numerous corporations’ security posture through the development of new cybersecurity, insider threat, geopolitical risk, and maritime threat intelligence programs.

He has bachelor’s degree in International Business and Russian Area Studies from the University of Iowa and completed graduate programs through both the University of Miami and Florida International University on the technologies, frameworks, processes, and structures to protect corporate systems.
