Jennifer Thomas, PharmD

Dr. Thomas is a healthcare professional with over 33 years of combined clinical practice, quality improvement and patient safety experience who currently leads Antimicrobial Stewardship, Immunization and Medication Safety Projects for the Quality Innovations Network (QIN) Quality Improvement Organization (QIO) contract.  . She led quality improvement initiatives, including medication management and safety projects, in the 9th and 10th QIO SOWs and the current DC QIN-QIO 11th SOW.

Dr. Thomas is an invited participant on measures development and technical expert panels convened by government and is active in professional organizations such as the Maryland Society of Health-System Pharmacists, for which she is Past-President. She has served as a Governor-appointed commissioner of the Maryland Advisory Commission on Immunizations from 2011 through 2017 and  was previously Chair of its Immunization Information System Subcommittee.  Dr. Thomas is Co-Chair of the DC Department of Health HAI work group Antibiotic Stewardship Subcommittee.  She is also a member of the DC Immunization Practice Advisory Committee.
