Hope Connections Grantee Spotlight
Hope Connections for Cancer Support began operating in March 2007. Its mission is to help people with cancer and their loved ones deal with the emotional and physical impact of cancer through professionally facilitated programs of emotional support, education, wellness and hope – all provided free of charge. The programs are promoted through weekly e-mail blasts, media public service and calendar announcements, a quarterly program calendar, Facebook and Twitter updates, mailings to program participants, local hospitals, oncologists and community members, and the website. A grant of $20,200 funds approximately 510 visits with professional therapists.
